I'm having very similar problems as listed in this thread. I've been using an old version of PiPhole, installed with all of the proper prerequisites.
![]() I've tried a clean install of pihole as well, removing the folders mentioned in the thread. But logs are always saying failed to open / to check permissions. ![]() Also, any time I change a setting, I get an error message regarding service not being a command, in a blue box. ![]() I'm up for any suggestions! Thank you!

In fact, upgrading to this new version 4.1.0.0 hasn't really "worked" at all. Using only PiHole as the DNS server fails all network requests. Only after adding a secondary entry (Cloudflare 1.1.1.1) to my router's DHCP config does anything make a successful request at all.

I have to test it for OS5

Great! Let me know if I can help at all. Thank you!

Have you had any luck? I'm wondering if it would be helpful to set it up and send you logs of what's not working?
I'm really hoping to get pihole version 4+ working soon, so I can use the DNSMasq support. ![]() Thanks again!
